This place was legit. It had that bar type genre with a very inviting atmosphere. When we showed up there wasn't many people (prob cause still kind of early) but people started coming in and there was one Bartender that I seen who was taking all food orders and was very polite. Handling everything like it was nothing. Got the burger and that thing was massive but damn tasty. This place was not shy with toppings either. It was a good burger to onion bun lettuce ratio! Oh and those fries were delicious not sure what the seasoning was but on point. The Bama shrimp appetizer was a winner. Had some nice heat but flavor heat. Not that burn your mouth to no taste kind. And even with it coated in sauce had a crunch!
All in all it was a excellent decision to stop in after a long day of driving. If I lived near Brazil it would definitely be my go to spot. Oh and it's not a budget bender. Very well priced and great quality.
I care more about the service then anything else when I stop and eat somewhere. This restaurant was a awesome. The food was great and the service was impeccable.
The Bama Prime Burger was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! There! I said it. Look, this small sports themed bar may not be 5 star for everyone, but based upon my experience, I can't help but rate it so highly.
The bar itself is conveniently located on US 40, just east of the SR59 intersection. There is plenty of free street parking out front and on the side, right next to the giant mural (Becky Hochhalter's polar bear/Coke theme added in 2016). Inside, the bar has lots of tables and televisions. It seems to have groupings of tables and a long bar that is fine for drinks, but a little difficult to fit your knees under if dining.
They have a pretty large menu offering for a bar, but I had focused on the Bama Prime burger based upon Yelper reviews. They were so right! Imagine a thick and juicy burger topped with shaved prime rib, your choice of three cheeses, then topped with grilled green peppers, onions, and mushrooms. And then, they have a generous bowl of au jus sauce that you can dip your sandwich in (I recommend slicing the burger with the steak knife provided so that it can dunk in the au jus fully.) Think of it as a burger/prime rib/philly steak all in one. Delicious!
Okay, the steak fries were a little limp (could have gone another 15 seconds in the fryer). The pickle spear was okay, but not spectacular. But they were quickly forgotten in between bites of the sandwich.
The service was friendly, but not intrusive. The food came out quickly and check out was prompt after I finished dining. If you are on the west side of the state, make it a point to stop in here and try this burger. You're Welcome!
For a bar, the food is awesome. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. All bartenders/waitresses are very friendly. It never seems to be busy which I find surprising. I wouldn't mind this being our new hangout!
OMG - why didn't we know this place was here???
Fabulous atmosphere, great bartender - very personable and made great food recommendations, food? TO DIE FOR!!!!!!!
Got the Bama Prime Burger and the special for the night Bourbon Chicken. My husband and I switched half way through both thinking ours was better than the other persons - too hard to say - both were FABULOUS!!!!!#
